A few weeks ago we took our 3rd grade group on a field trip to the park! It was so much fun, and so eye opening. We learned that some of our clients need additional cues to engage with peers in this natural environment. We also learned that some peers enjoyed more imaginative play, and some enjoyed more physical play. It was so wonderful to be able to support everyone during this play time. Our groups focus on “in the moment” support and this field trip was a perfect example of how those needs change depending on the environment. After, we came back to the office and all shared what our favorite part of the field trip was. I am happy to report, everyone had a great time!
