Fall brings along one of my favorite activities – apple picking! What better way to enjoy the season than with a delicious apple snack! Our groups gave this a go, as well as our kids working on expanding their diet through feeding therapy.

To start, pick out your favorite apple variety. It can be fun to pick a few, and to compare and contrast how they taste/smell/look. Cut the apples into thin rounds. Pick a yogurt of choice (we used vanilla). From there, you can add on any toppings that you or your child are interested in. Take the pressure off of trying new foods at mealtimes by choosing a separate time of day to interact and play with these novel ingredients. Here were some of our favorite toppings:
- Mini chocolate chips
- Sprinkles
- Candy eyes
- Dried orange slices
- Granola
- Gummy worms
- Crunchy apple chips
Enjoy!!
